Mother's Reflections question

Finally got to PC DACP the new Jeep and I applied Reflections for protection, as I'm trying to finish the bottle. Anyhow, we've had some good rain the past couple days. In b/t rain, the paint looked so glossy and wet that I ran my palm across a section of the hood. It felt so nice! However, after the 2nd storm the section I ran my hand across was NOT beading. Everything else beaded great.

So what caused that? Did I remove a wax layer or blend it together? I didn't press hard, just lightly wiped my hand across the paint.

Thanks for the help

Reflections is a resin based product that's soft compared to carnauba. The protection (and shine) is still there, but it just doesn't feel slick like carnauba does.

Using a qd will slicken it back up.

I used Reflection on my wifes van at Christmas time and it still looks good . After a wash and a qd it looks great. On the hood I used Collinite Insulator and it still beads like crazy. Reflection is so easy to use that you can polish your car faster than you can wash it. Reflection shines every bit as good as Gold Class. If you want durability Insulator the way to go.

Just a quick thought, you may have had lotion on your hands, or some sweat, oil, etc. Oil and water don't mix, so it may adversely affect the beading. I'm sure the qd will fix it, but a wash with detergent to get rid of any residue may also work. Again, just a guess, and I'm nowhere near as knowledgeable about Mother's as Forrest.

I never thought about that possibility! Today I did a fast wash and the beading was great, once again! Either way, Thanks for the help guys
