Mother's Reflections Car Wax and FX Tire Shine: A Review

I would say no I did not see a visual change, but I really did not pull the car out of my garage to look at it before Top Coat was applied. I think even if I did look I feel there would have been a very slight difference. What I did notice was that the paint felt even more slick.

the FX is spray and wipe-offers about 4 weeks of protection-I'm hoping someone does some reviews of this product
I was hoping someone could give me a quick answer. From what i've been reading on the Mother's forum, it sounds like you spray on, then wipe off.Corey Bit Spank

It performs/applies like a QD actually. You do not allow it to haze like a typical "quick wax" product. You can use it on a wet car after washing, but you get better results (and use the same amount) if you dry and then use it on top.
It's fairly easy to use, but can be somewhat of an "oily" product (seems to give a little hazing/smearing if you doing wipe enough, another reason to use it dry). It gives the impression of increased protection. My car hasn't had a wax application since Feb., and the new panels have only had new car glaze. After a few months I figured hell, why not put some of this on there since it will probably be repainted anyway (the bodyshop sprayed too thick and guess what--the door edge is cracking, bummed about that...anyway).
....ANYWAY......... The point I want to make is the side that I glazed/spraywaxed and the side with regular wax bead exactly the same. This is after a week and a half of not being washed. I've went two weeks, and it still beaded after all the snow. So it does provide protection, at least from what I can tell. I'm about halfway through the bottle, maybe 4-5 washings with it(used after each wash and a few more times as a QD) just to give you an idea of how much is "on" the paint (quotes denoting the loose reference to layers, which I buy less and less into each time I detail).
But the downside is that it gives a very plasticky look. Not warm, but very reflective and very sterile. It isn't horribly slick, good enough. I would say 3 out of 5.
1-will not buy again
2- will buy again only for a good price
3-will maybe buy again
4- will definitely buy again
5- already bought again.
I don't know how else to put it other than "maybe buy again."

I have never used OCW and don't plan to. I'm sure somebody can chime in, but I tried hard to not compare it to other products since 1) I'm not sure what it is suppose to be completely (not sure what OCW is suppose to be either as a whole) and 2) some people here haven't used many products, so a comparison doesn't do much for them.

FX spray is more than a qd, it is a light duty wax. It will give you 2 to 4 weeks of protection. It gives a high gloss and it leaves a very slick finish. Ive use it on cars that seldom get waxed and it still gave a great shine. It can be used wet or dry and I think it works great either way.

Right now I cannot say. My wife's car stays outside 24/7. If it helps with protection a little longer than Reflections Wax alone then yes it is worth it. It is way to early for me to tell how durable it will be. Maybe I will polish the hood again with Power Polish to remove what is there and put on one side Reflections wax and the otherside I will use the wax with top coat. This way I will tell if durability has increased with the use of Top Coat.
