I have been hearing alot about the newer Mothers products. the FX line and the Reflections line. I think I may try the FX tire shine.

If you tried out these products let me know what you think.!

Is the Synwax a Polymere?

FX Tire Shine is good stuff. There was a thread recently on water based tire dressings and many people really like the FX. I can personally give it a thumbs up.

I have used most of the new Mothers line up. The FX Tire Shine is a go. My latest process has been Power Polish 1, Reflections Wax and Reflections Top Coat. The results are outstanding. The Reflections Leather Care is awesome for a nice one step product. I am going to pick up the FX Syn Wax and give it a try, to see how it changes the finish. All in all the new line up is as good or better than any botique product, IMO.

I've seen the finish on Fatchance's silver Chrysler 300c and it has what is possibly the best look on a silver vehicle I've ever seen. His car really blew me away, and it amazed me even more when he told me what his secret was (Mother's Reflections and Top Coat).

I just got back from the store. I'm going to try out tghe FX tire shine and I also bought the Power Ball. I'm going to try that out with some AIO on the CC chrome H2 rims.

The Power ball is way cool and works great. The Tire Shine will do the job for you. I have super low profile tires 30 series so I like a high shine.

Many of the new Mothers' products are excellent indeed! In many cases, their products are as good as, if not better than MANY of the so-called boutique products.

The FX Tire Shine is very nice. It leaves a nice shine (not extremely glossy), and is very durable.

The Reflections Tire Spray is also nice. It leaves a very, very matte/satin finish.

The FX Synwax is a synthetic product. (polymers)

The Reflections Top Coat is a synthetic/carnauba blend.

I must say.The power ball is the balls!!! It works fantastic. I have CC Chrome rims on the H2 and I used The new Power Ball with AIO. It sure made quick work of it. The ball is a perfect size for the H2 rims. It cleaned in between real nice & worked quickly!

The FX tire shine has the perfect gloss for me too. The bottle says high gloss but I would say its a touch more than satin. I was at first surprised when I sqeezed the trigger. I was expecting a spray like AA. It came out in a thick stream. At first I thought I wasn't going to like it. But I took out my applicator and spread thr product over the tire and spread real smooth and evenly. Great stuff! :xyxthumbs

My only complaint was it was tough to work in at the outer edge of the tire where the "off road" nubs are. But I like the way it spread. It spread out pretty quickly as well. I'll see how the durability is over the next week, we are also calling for rain as well. If it doesn't sling or come off quickly it will be my go to tire dressing. I have used Mothers years ago and thier pure carnauba was nice. I think the new line of products has some real promise, I may try the Synwax next. :D

I think you will like Synwax. Probably the easiest product to apply and remove that I've ever used! :xyxthumbs

Consider trying the FX Spray Wax too! Another extremely easy product to use, with very nice results.

FX Spray Wax and Tire Shine are awesome and well-priced. "Stage 2" Sealer & Glaze gives a wet look, but it can be a bear to get off. "Stage 3" Carnauba Wax gives nice deep shine but doesn't last and attracts lots of dust. And if you don't have a PC their Scratch Remover works pretty well to reduce spot scratches.

FX Synwax is a great product. Extremely easy on and off. Durability seems to be good as a stand alone but I prefer to top with something with carnauba to add depth. For a nice OTC 1-2, try FX topped with Turtle Wax Platinum Ultra Gloss. I guarantee you will be happy.

I have been testing the FX tire shine on a couple of different cars. I didn't like it at first but its growing on me. I do not like the spray head.

Too many people get caught up in boutique products when OTC stuff works good and is available locally.

OTC stuff here isn't cheap when it comes to Meguiar's and Mothers.

Reflections is nice but would you pay AU$45 (~US$33) for it? Not a chance. NXT paste and FX are even more expensive.

You guys have it good, but for me the Mothers stuff is really good but not worth the dollars.

I agree, the spray head needs to "spritz" more. It comes out in a thick stream which doesn't work well when your trying to put it directly on the tire. Which I like to do.

Hey Fatchance, give the old Tyre Black a try. It has high shine, trust me. But make sure you have all the other product completely off and the "rubber" doesn't repell water.
