Mother's Powerball

I was wondering has anyone tried this product on thier wheels. I just want some input before i spend $25 on this.

Thanks

I bought one, not too impressed actually. it is too grabby and too big, it doesn't compress into tight areas. I hear the Flitz ball is much better.

The Flitz ball works pretty well. I will be using it this weekend on some 10 year old Weld Wheels that are of uncoated aluminum. I will be posting that work up so stay tuned.

Oh yeah, I would use a corded drill as the cordless ones die quickly when you use the ball. It requires a lot of torque and you may get 15 minutes out of a battery :(.

I have both and prefer the Mothers Powerball MUCH more over the Flitz. The Powerball is large for some things but I have not found much that I can't use it for. I can even use it for BMW BBS basketweave wheels.

I chrome polish with it, clean badly corroded (brake dust) wheels with it with water/wheel cleaner, have cleaned plastic lenses with it, etc.

They are working on a smaller one, BTW.

Would the powerball be able to polish out some of the defects in the clear coat on wheels?

Assuming the use of a regular paint polish?

Resurrecting this related thread just to let you guys know that Wal-mart has begun to carry the Mother's Powerball for about $18. Of course Wal-mart can't seem to keep their prices consistent from store to store so your mileage may vary. I did not purchase one as I currently do not have a use for it (yet) but just wanted to let you guys know.

Oh well. At the time I got my Powerball, Advance had everybody covered on price by several dollars.

I figured Wally World would carry the Powerball eventually and they would kill everyone on price. It took them long enough though.

I'd rather spend a few bucks more and get it somewhere else besides Wal-Mart. :xyxthumbs
