Mothers Powerball For Paint

I was in my local Auto store the other day and noticed Mother's came out with a few new "Powerball's". They are for paint and one for scratch removal I believe.



I am just wondering if anyone has used one of these before on paint. Maybe it could be used instead of a PC on a car that only has one panel to clean up and the owner doen't want to invest into a PC, he could go grab a Powerball for $19.99.



Personaly I would never do it but was just wondering about it because the Powerball for Aluminum and things like that work's like a champ so maybe the one for paint will too.

MAYBE for application, but not for correction. You know Mothers is going to make money with this product, but off of detailing "idiots":rofl
 
Fellow car guys.

If you were to look at the Powerball4Paint, you'd see it's made from the same yellow foam as for those ubiquitous yellow foam applicators.

The Ball itself is 'specifically' not designed for paint correction, in any form whatsoever.

Admitted, I'm the guy in those videos and I used it for application purposes only. The good thing about it for applying product is that you can use it with a battery drill (18 Volt preferably) and the drill would be much lighter than any power buffer.

Again, it is also 'specifically' not designed to replace power buffers, but as a handy piece of equipment for speedier application of products. It might also go places to apply product that power buffers might not.

It's not the 'only' product, but an adjunct.

At no stage did it even approach damaging my paint. I used it with a variety of products in a variety of areas.

As Mothers themselves will say. It's not the 'product', but the 'process'.

This is just another aid in that process.
