mother's hotwheels vs. reflection

What's the difference between those two? I'm looking for a decent 1 step product to use on my friend's car. The car is a silver Honda Accord in very good condition (it's a 6 month old car). Which one is better?? (looks better, easier to use, protect longer, and maybe more economical)

I'll do the detail this weekend, my plan is to wash the car throughly and then clay, and top it with a 1-step cleaner/wax product.

I usually use S100 SEC and wax on my car, but I'd like to try something else. He also doesn't want to deal with 2-3 steps process....

Thanks in advance!! :xyxthumbs

Try a searh on the two. I think forrest posted about them a while back. If you want a decent one step, why not use Gold Class, or #20? GC is shinier, but #20 lasts longer.

Hot Wheels costs slightly more (~$12 versus $10 for Reflections), but you do get a limited edition HW car.

Reflections is easier to work with as HW is a synthetic/carnauba hybrid versus all synthetic for Reflections.

I prefer the shine of Reflections.

As for longevity, it's a tough one to call. I'm guessing they're about the same, but keep in mind Reflections is a resin based synthetic that is soft, so the surface won't feel as slick as long as a carnauba will.

You can't go wrong with either one, but I prefer Reflections.

It's been about a month since applying HW on my silver car and there is no sign of any let-up in the way it beads water. It's also very slick too. I applied it side by side with PB's EX to do a comparison test because they are both synthetic/carnauba hybrids. (at least they claim they are....and I only believe one of them)

Both products are very easy to use, IMO...but yes, I'd say Reflections might be a tad easier.

FWIW,

Kragen (here in So Cal) has the HW on sale for $7.99. I bought a bottle, gave the car to my daughter. I plan on trying it out after my bottle of reflections runs out.

I absolutely love the results I got with reflections.

I decided to buy the Mother's hotwheels since they are on sale for $7.99

I used it right away on the silver honda and I'm pretty satisfied with the result. Very easy to spread and wipe off.

The owner is also very happy with the result... :xyxthumbs

Sorry no pic yet, it's dark already when I'm done
