1998 Ford Taurus 120k miles and never detailed, never had a carpet shampoo and never garaged or in a carport (outside 24/7 for 10 years).
This car needed help and seeing as how it was my moms and I had nothing but time I figured I'd give it some of my TLC...
This car did take alot of my time today in fact a full 8 hours but it was well worth it, the before and afters hopefully will show the dramatic change that was achieved through my hard work.
Process:
Waterless wash (ONR) - stupid water restrictions
Oxyclean/Woolite HOT WATER and 4 oz APC for the carpets and seats
Orange Pad with HTMC polish x2
Z6 wipe down
Blue Pad with CG EZ Creame Glaze II
Z6 wipe down
Meguiars Wheel Brightner on wheels/wells/tires
ZCS applied to wheels
Armor All Extreme Shine applied to the running boards
UPGP Applied
Before
Can you say dirty?
This section of the seat wasn't bad at all....
The other side of the floorboards was nasty
Other side of the "clean" rear seat....yup thats a stain...not sure what it is though
Passenger side carpet before
Passenger seat
I had already polished the trunk and the passenger side of the car so these would the only exteriors I could get
Before Polishing
After Polishing opposite side mirror
The Afters - The rest of the story
Remember that stain on the "clean" seat? not there no more
Oh yah...I love the smell of shampoo in the mornings! it almost looks real!
I really dont like making lines in carpets, just aint my thing....
the seat is cleaner
Didn't notice the spot on the back until after I took the picture...oops
Remember the really dirty drivers seat? well It came out like this....
Driver floor boards....somethings just wont come clean
Exterior Afters
Roof reflection
Front roof looking to hood...where are the reflections all coming from...its amazing!
Hope you enjoyed looking....thanks!
