Its on and off rain here in NJ at the moment and I just washed my car and was going to clay it and then wax tomorrow.

Can I clay in the rain. Its a Mothers Clay Bar?

Would it be bad? There is a consitant lube?

I just dont want to be half way through the job and it start pouring on me and have to stop...

I guess you could, but I don't know how healthy rain water is.... why not just get what you can done and continue later? Instead of sitting around doing nothing while waiting for the rain to stop at least you'd get part of it done.

If its raining too hard though it'd be bad because it would be constantly washing away or diluting your lube.

Well I'm near NJ (neighbooring SI) and would not recommend claying in a light rain. The acid rain in the area is bad, might do more harm than good.
