most user friendly products when detailing for money

I am set to venture into the "detailing on the side for money" arena.



So what would be the most user friendly sealant to use given that time is a constraint??

I currently have Klasse twins and NXT. I feel NXT is good ( ie quick, easy to use and turns out nice ), but is there better??

BF, UPP, #20, WG, FMJ??? Im just not sure at the moment as there seems to be a sea of them out there!



Any opinions would be appreciated.



**Here is a mates car I did a few weekends back with Menzerna twins, AIO, S100. Not bad for a 12 year old car! Its a combo I really like a lot.

For sealants I usually use, UPP. It is quick and easy, reliable performance/looks. It is easy to apply and take off in a short amount of time. You could also look into the Bill North method of AIO/SG seeing you like that combination.
 
Both FMJ and WG sealants have been very easy-to-use, in my (limited) experience. There's very little wait time between application and product removal, residue removes very easily, and I (knock wood) haven't had any serious problems with either product smearing. Both sealants also go a long way, especially when applied by PC. I've done five applications of WG on various vehicles (four on WRXes, and one on a Dodge Caravan) and only used two ounces so far.

It would depend on the amount of money you are being paid and what your client expects......I use many different products and have found AIO & NXT is a great combination and value for my customers who take decent care of thier vehicles.

Agreed. I'd go with Meguiars, Menzerna or 3Ms pro products for your prep work and you can't go wrong with Poorboys, Wolfgang or even Meguiars NXT or #20 and #16 as your carnauba topper. All are easy to use.
 
I use the TropiCare polish personally. It hazes really, really fast and comes off with no effort. While it's billed as a polish, I think a polish/sealant is a more accurate description.

Nah its a Ford Falcon GT ( 1992 model )



It had a hand built 200kW ( 270hp ) 5L V8. It is an absolute collectors item now ( only 265 built ) so it was a definite honour to be able to work on it!



As for me flippin the bird, it just emphasises the reflection! :xyxthumbs
 
I guess it depends on my mood, I am doing an 04 SRT-4 for a girl this coming week. For customers cars I usually go:



DACP

VM

NXT or S100



I do this just because that the look is incredibly slick, wet, and reflective with this combo, the DACP makes short work of swirls/defects, VM brings out the shine and hides the last bit, NXT or S100 are both easy on easy off and give a great shine.



For friends that I detail for, I usually throw a sealant in the mix for longevity. If a customer specifically asks for a durable wax I will use EX-P.

You failed to mention longevity/durability....And the way people treat cars, there going to need something durable, and youll appreciate it when/if they come back for "seconds"......You have to remind yourself that you did something they normally couldnt do.....Otherwise theyd go get a bottle of Kit or TW......
 
I've found AIO to be an easy to use product, but it's counterpart (SG) is not. I've also found that this combination is not as durable as I'd like. Three months seems to be the life of the SG, then the car stops beading. Can anyone comment on the durability of the products mentioned in this post?
