Most Important Specs for Shop-Vac Shopping

Hey, guys.



Well, I was cleaning out a car last night and my Shop-Vac decided to start smoking like crazy and then shut down. I've contacted Shop-Vac about it (It's less than two years old) but I don't have my receipt. Just in case Shop-Vac doesn't help me out, i want to know exactly what to look for if I have to buy a new one. The model that just died was a 16 gallon/5.5hp model. If I have to buy a new model, I want to get the best bang for the buck...I'm thinking about this model:



6.5 HP (Peak) 16-Gallon Wet/Dry Vac with Detachable Blower

the 12 gallon shop-vac is $39 though at Lowes. It's one of our fathers day specials. Comes with the blower and all. I got the same one on black friday when we had the same deal. I was able to snag one of the last 2 when I punched out, lol!
 
Thanks, guys. I have emailed Shop-Vac and I received an automated response that told me I should hear from them in 72 hours. I'll keep you posted.
