Mosca likes the Sonus SFX polishes!

First, I have to say that I have the older polishes; I got them about 2 weeks before the new versions came out.

My Miata has really taken a beating this summer, going from a garage-kept hundred or so miles a week to an outside 24/7 400 miles a week. That has meant an increase in the number of washings and a decrease in the number of waxings, which means more swirls. I was looking at it Saturday and I couldn't stand it.

Remember how confusing it all was when you first started this stuff? A nice thing about this product is that it references proper pad use in the instructions. A beginner can pick up a PC, the pads and product, and have at it. The instructions attend to pad, speed, time, area, and how to tell when the product is ready to remove. Exemplary!

I find the products easy to use. I used the PC and the Sonus SFX pads. Both #2 and #3 behave in a way that lets you know what's going on; they go clear and flash. In most cases I removed the product when it was a little bit wet, but I left some on to dry for about 20 minutes to see what would happen; it was still easy to remove. That's a big advantage over Menzerna, which shouldn't be left on the car to dry lest it turn to glue. I applied #2 with the green pad and then #3 with the blue pad.

Results are all that really matters; if the stuff is easy to use but doesn't work, what's the point? I believe that the results are essentially equal to the Menzernas, finishing with that "red jade" smoothness. That's what I look for when I'm polishing, the milky gem look. You black car guys, you're looking for that onyx look. Same thing. Any marring or hazing was below what my eye could detect.

I'm at a break point right now; the polishing is done and the car is 1/2 #7'd, which will be followed by #21 (for its incredible durability). Still got some nooks and crannies to clear, and some inside cleaning.

Again, no pictures. They all look the same, a shiny red car. But if you use the product according to the instructions, you will get the same results I did.

the ability to remove a product without a chisel is what IMO seperates a great product from an average product. I've use products in the past that produced excellent results but you couldn't get the polish off once it had dried.
