Depends where you are. Obviously in an urban area like Toronto, you aren't allowed to but in the more rural areas you can. I'm not really sure where the boundaries lay, though.

Why are these people still driving? If the ice was that bad i would park it in a safe place and stay off the streets.

It is, starting this winter. Excellent decision. With the weather we have, they bring some safety on our roads IF the driver isn't a moron.



However, winter tires doesn't mean studded tires. Some winter tires are studdable, others not.
