More expensive products that have REALLY made a difference?

Hey guys, besides the PC/Rotary/ShopVac, what have you purchased around or over $50 that has really made a difference in your detailing?



ps - I removed PC/Rotary/ShopVac because I feel those are essentials anyways and it'd be redundant to repeat them :)



Just some ideas: Pressure washer, particular expensive wax, tent, etc.

Interesting you say that. I was considering throwing the Zaino line as my pic... Haven't played with it enough to make that distinction though.
 
Couple of things that I've purchased that were more expensive than I normal spend for similar item. Boars hair wheel brush. I had been spending $3-4 on my wheel brushes so $20-25 was a big leap. I love it though and if mine ever wears out will get another. Another was a recent wax addition. $95 Zymol Glasur. Up to that point Souveran was my most expensive but I had got that on sale and paid less for 2 jar than the Glasur. I've only used it once on one of my cars (not a Porsche) but in my 5 years of owning the car it's the best looking wax I have used on it.
 
So far, it's my electric pressure washer from Costco. I wouldn't mind one that pushed out more GPM, but then again I don't want to deal with the hassles of a gas engine, mainly the noise and the maintenance. Cleaning tires/wheels aren't as big of a chore now with a pressure washer.



I didn't mention the LGCM because it's not a necessity. You can get similar results with a shopvac. If I could afford a hot water extractor, I think that might be on the top of my list though.
 
the foamgun (less marring/scratches) has really made a difference to my ever growing detailing arsenal...
 
Foamgun ,Zaino,Menzerna line,Prima Line,Hope Fully the Ultima line (haven't used yet so the verdict is still out but pretty confident that It will turn out to be my favorite)
 
A Landa Gold series Heated power washer (can't see how people can detail without one lOL) about $1500 Used



A Mytee Grand Prix HP100 Heated Carpet Extractor $1500 on sale



My Rotary



As far as chemicals go... ehh.. There's really not alot of difference in chemicals based on priced. I've got some expensive stuff that works really well and I have some stupidly cheap stuff that works just as well. Unfortuantly learning which is which is usually an expensive trial and error lesson.
 
I dunno if foamguns/BHBs/etc. are "expensive", but the following sure weren't cheap and were worth every penny:



Pair of good (Essco brand) floorjacks.



Pair of Bauer work platforms (probably gonna get two more for doing the Yukon XL).



Air compressor with numerous air stations throughout the shop.



Century 4000 Ninja extractor (*much* better than my previous "consumer level" ones).



Daimer 1500C steamer (also *much* better than previous units).

I can think of 2 items:

1. Vapor Steam Cleaner TR5 - $300.00



2. Menzerna PO106FF Polish - $50.00/qt.

(In fact, the entire Menzerna line. Expensive, but still the best).
