Instead of blaming the Patriots for running up the score why not try and stop them. To me it would be a bigger slap in the face to take a knee. Like saying we are not going to make it any worst on you, even though we know we could.

Exactly. Now if the Patriots went around handing out tissues to the other team after the game that might be considered insulting. Trying to score even when you have it in the bag is just playing the game and giving your fans a show.
