Monday morning streak continues

Well, it's now 8 weeks long and continuing. The only time I have to detail my car is on the weekends. So every weekend I spend about 2-3 hours on my two vehicles making them look as good as possible in the time I have to spend on them.

Monday morning rolls around and I pull out of the driveway and go to work and it is either snowing or has snowed through the evening with the roads wet, slushy, salty, messy and just basically disgusting. My car doesn't even last 2 minutes looking good. That is why I have made it a habit to go out in the garage and look at my perfectly detailed cars about 20 times every Sunday night.

Is anyone else as fed-up with winter as I am? Can anyone else beat my 8 weeks in a row Monday morning disaster drive?

Wow, I feel sorry for ya! That has to be the most frustrating thing!

My biggest concern on Monday mornings would be the salt residue on my windshield from living on the beach.... I'll wash my car over the weekend and still, when I get in my car I've got to turn my wipers on with the fluid just to see out! :bounce

Boy, do I feel sorry for everyone experiencing the snow storms back east... I hope everyone heeds all the warnings and stays at home today and remains safe!

I hope your electricity holds out for you guys so you can hang out on the forum with us!

In Pittsburgh, it has finally stopped snowing after 32 hours straight. We have a total of about 17". I shoveled the driveway last night at 10pm...woke up this morning and saw about 6" of fresh snow!! DOH!

It doesn't snow often here, but it's been raining almost every day for the last 4 weeks. The temperature goes from 27 in the morning to 70 in the day. It's just warm enough to wear shorts in the afternoon, and cold enough at night to make you regret the decision. It sucks. i'm so tired of rain!

I left both of my cars in the garage since Saturday night before it started to snow. I finally ventured out last night to get some food, and it had stopped. I was on the only clean car in the parking lot. Luckily the roads were still snow covered and not slushy so I made it back without getting dirty. I have the day off, so cars are in the garage again, but once I go out tommorw its going to be real messy. The melting has started, all the roads are slushy, and roadspray will be everywhere!

Hey Ejant,

Where did you get your facts? I have been trying to do some winter storm reserch and I am striking out. What I was looking for was record snow falls here in the Hudson Valley, which I also live in.

Man, that sucks. I hate winter and I live in Texas:sosad

Hey! No fair! That's my answer!

I hate winter with a passion. No real extemes this year, but way too many days with highs in the 30's and 40's (normal is mid 50's).

It might rarely get below 40 here in the winter, but my Monday morning woe is two large puddles in front of a concrete factory. If I can, I'll 'play London' and get totally into the oncoming lane to keep the white dusty water from getting on my car, which is black. But unfortunately, since I go into work at 6:45, that's when all the school busses are heading out in a big train. I always get crap on my car.

Sometimes I'll actually come to a complete stop in the road, waiting for them to pass, that is if I don't have anyone behind me at all.

I tell ya, life is rough.
