Mold On My BFWD Clay Bar?

Happened to me once; tossed without hesitation. Hasn't happened since, despite the fact that I still store clay the same way (spritz of lubricant, and into a ziplock).

To everyone who stores there clay spritzed with lube. When you first open your clay, does the manufacture spritz it before shipping :o

Thank about it. Mine is always bone dry :)

Yeah, I get that, but then why do they put in the instructions, "spray with QD and store in an air tight bag"? :out:

Well, anyway, I might go ahead and give it a Dawn/Bleach wash and massage it to see what happens.

I just noticed, the last pic looks like the clay is molded to look like a ghost! :cornut:

LOL When I first saw this pic, my first thought was "Let it get a little greener and give it to your kids to play with. Tellum his name is Gumby"

Even I though, thought not everyone would catch my sense of humor on that one :(

Well Zack, here's my opinion. There's hardly any mold on that clay. I'd just "wash" it in water to remove the mold and use it as usual.;)

Yeah, I might as well I guess, won't hurt to try I guess.

Flash, I noticed it when I sat it up to take the pic, but I didn't notice that the mold had formed eyes and a nose on it!

I went into my detail supply closet to get ready to work on my cars and I noticed mold all over my BF clay also. I stored it with a spray of QD and sealed in a plastic bag over the winter.
