A friend of mine has a 99 toyota camry that has been sitting outside for awhile. He had it cleaned and detailed once before to get rid of some mold issues that were going on. These mold issues have now apparently resurfaced and we have discovered that the weather stripping at the bottom of the front windshield is no longer there. As a result the water is seeping into the interior and getting under the carpet where the carpet and the dash meet so its not just the carpet but also the carpet padding as well here. Will the carpets have to be replaced or what can be done to address this situation. How I normally do interiors is with APC+ or power clean and then steam the carpets and then extract with a LGM. This seems like it will take a bit more than what I have on hand at the moment but I do need to upgrade my setup as I am now doing detailing as a business. What supplies do I need to handle this situation and whats the process? Thanks for the input.
