Im finally getting ready to polish the car, and have a few concerns about my pad choices.

Products im using:

FLEX

1st) PO106FA with 5.5" LC HT Cyan pad

2nd) PO85RD with 5.5" LC HT Crimson or Tangerine pad

3rd) CG Jetseal 109 with 6.5" Blue LC CCS or Black 5.5" LC CCS pad.

First off, I'd like comments on the pad polish combos. My car has VERY minor micro-swirls, but its a year old now, so I can do a polish without worrying about future paint thickness.

Heres my bigger question.....

I also purchased the EDGE 2000 adapter for the flex, so I could fit 4" double-precision cyclo pads. I have them in yellow, orange, green & blue.

How will the results differ using the edge pads and the lc pads. I plan on using the smaller pads for a couple of smaller areas: front and rear apron lips, mirrors, pillars, etc.... I figured I would use the green pad with PO106FA and blue pad with PO85RD.

Any suggestions?

You probably can just get buy with PO85RD and the right pads for all your polishing. Both have a Minimum sanding grit of 2,500 ....... Just a thought. Good Luck.

I am not fimiliar with the new LC pads. Does anyone have a chart which show which traditional LC pad matches up with which Hydro Tech (or whatever they are called) pad?

Someone once told me the Edge pads match up pretty well with the old LC pads in the following manner:

LC Orange = Edge Yellow

LC White = Edge Green

LC Black = Edge Blue

LC Blue and Red = Edge White

While that may not be a perfect match up, I am guessing it is pretty good. Now, if you can find out how the new HT pads match up with the old LC pads, that should help you in matching with the Edge Pads.
