I think your bubbling problem is more than just using Meguiar's tire gel...

I got this from a Toyo Tires FAQ section...please read.

Q What do I do if I see a "bubble" on the sidewall?

A A bubble on the sidewall of a tire generally indicates damaged cords caused by severe impact. It is confirmed by a visible corresponding break in the inner liner. Air has infiltrated between the plies and caused the bulge. When a tire with damaged cords gets hot, it will experience a sudden loss of air. A tire with a bubble on the sidewall should be removed immediately. A tire in this damaged condition cannot be repaired.

Now, did anyone drive your car and possibly hit a curb? It may also be that you got a defective tire when it was replaced. I strongly don't think that it was the tire gel's fault for the tire to be bubbling like it is...

Bring it to a wheel/tire shop and have them look at it.

I'm going to order some of the Zaino tire dressing, because i'm really not pleased with anything much else out there. Yes the Meguiar's DOES last through rain, nothing else does so far. But it's messy ,I hate working with it, and Black Opal is truly oily too. I can get that with the cheapo clear tire sprays like Black Magic etc. from Wal- Mart, even if EF is better for the tires. Hopefully the Zaino will be a breath of fresh air.

Meguires and will now be happy ship my unused bottle to anyone who wants it since I switched to Zaino. I won't even use Endurance on my wifes car, as it attracts way to much dust, is greasy and builds up after a few applications. I also noticed some splattering on my black car if I did not let it dry enough before driving. <strong class='bbc'>Zaino Z16[/b] is way better. Have not tried the Black Opal or Eagle one. Don't have a good reason to at this point.

I used to use Meguiar's tire gel, but it gets old. It attracts dust and I can't say it lasts for weeks. I would say a week max, i personally think that the EF Black Opal holds up much better than the Hi-Gloss gel.

But I personally think that using a gel is much easier to use than spraying a product such as Black Opal, if only EF would come out with a Black Opal gel.

Any other guys out there that do strictly mobile detailing? Anyone who has a shop that offers a mobile service? Being mobile adds a whole set of new challenges and I was wondering if there is any interest to start a thread or 2 about tips and/or tricks related to the mobile aspect of detailing.

That would be a great call there, it would benefit alot of folks who are looking into the that area. Great Idea!

My idea of mobile detailing... :hurray:

I used to forget things as well until I dedicated a truck to being mobile. I have every thing you can imagine already on the truck. Once and a while I have to do an inventory to top off products, re-supply with towels etc. Otherwise I get in and go and I always have it all with me. The only downside is it's a ton of stuff, but if you choose to leave 1 thing behind you will need that item for sure!!
