Mobile detailers that use Zaino

I spoke to Sal this morning and he says that you need to wait 24 hours between ZCS and Z8.

For those of us that are mobile, do you even use ZCS on the paint? I know some use it on the wheels but if you wanted to use Z8, I don't see how ZCS can be used.

All input welcome. Thanks

If you need to layer you can use Z2 w/ ZFX followed by CS

I "think" you can ZCS followed by Z6 after the CS is dry to the touch, dont see the point though

^ To remove possible streaking.

Yeah I know you can apply ZCS on top of Z2 or Z5.

I was wondering how mobile detailers utilitze ZCS and Z8 :)

No problem using Z8 over Z2 at all. I usually do it just prior to parting. Used sparingly of course and with no issues.

ZCS will not go on with no streaks, it always streaks, most WOWA do.

And I'm not sure what Sal told you but he's told me just the opposite that its' okay to follow up ZCS with Z8 or Z6....

I don't think it's going to hurt anything to Z8 it right after.

I'm mobile and I only use ZCS if I'm doing multiple coats of Zaino, never use it as a foundation coat.

^ He told me ZCS had to cure before Z8.

Yeah I wouldn't use it as a foundation! Only after Z2/Z5 or some other wax (after it cures).

Well I've heard great things about OOS too so I want to try that out as well.

It seems like a lot of people on Autopia are against Zaino. Don't get me wrong, I do know theres a lot of great products out there and I do use them!

Anyway, my paint is sealed ATM and I think I'm gonna apply some 915 to the entire car this Friday. Then once thats cured, I'll apply ZCS on one door so it'll be easy to get comparison shots. :up

I have some experience with ZCS on paint. First, there is a learning curve to using ZCS. I have used ZCS on paint with no streaking. It takes practice and trial and error.

I'm sure Sal's recommendation is valid. I wasn't aware that Zaino recommended a 24 hour cure time for ZCS prior to Z8.

I have applied Z8 immediately following application of ZCS. I had good results. Now that I know the manufacturer's recommendations, I will probably follow them.

If you're wanting to do some mobile detailing using these two products, I would do a little test panel on your own vehicles (say a fender or hood) and just see how it comes out! Do one side of the hood and follow with Z8 immediately, do the other side and follow with Z8 the next day.:up

^ Well to quote Sal, he said apply Z8 the "next day".

Yeah I'm going to test this.

Driver side:

Front: 915 only

Rear: 915 + ZCS

Passenger side:

Front: 915 + ZCS + Z8 right after

Rear: 915 + ZCS + Z8 next day
