Mobile Detailers preferred wax/polishes

With vehicles a few years old and clear coat in good condition (not professionally detailed) what is the preferred all-around polish/wax product to start a mobile detail with? Product which can used with an orbital buffer, a PC or by hand? Klasse, Zaino, Clearkote, PS21, Meguiar’s, 3M, etc…? It has to work in all climates too.

Do customers like to see an “enhanced finishâ€ to the exterior? Do you advise the customer that the exterior will be brighter or darker (enhanced) when completed? Or… are your customers not really concerned with the color enhancement?

Thanks

For me, it is Meguiars Body Shop Pro line for paint leveling, Vanilla Moose for my final Glaze and S100 paste wax in the shade and Moose Wax in the sun.

Of course the customers expect to see in improvement in the exterior. Meguiars Swirl Free makes a dramatic improvement on even good paint. Vanilla Moose improves on that-deepens the shine even more, then you seal it with the wax. I don't advise the customers about the finish they will end up with other than to let them know it will shine at least as good as new and the paint will be real slick. Moose Wax will make the paint look slightly darker and S100 seems to be pretty neutral.

Thanks for the reply. There is allot of products out so I guess it's time to experiment and study the results.

When I experimented on my wife's car with Moose Wax and S100 I noticed this. I wasn't sure it was just me or the difference in the reflection between the back door and the front door or actually the differences between the two waxes.

Moose Wax will deepen the color somewhat-which makes it ideal on black! Seems neutral on white though.

I use most of the PRO line. Check to see if you have a local distributor at prowax.com

For wax I use their Fast Trak mixed with Satin Creme. I can run it through a spray bottle to put it on fast. For people that want paste I have P21S. I also carry Satin Creme straight up, which I apply with an orbital. I use it on vehicle's when they are getting big details. i.e. more than just a wax package.

I've just gotten some of Valugard's Omni All Purpose Cleaner. Haven't used it enough to decided if I like it though.
