Today was a year since my last visit to the airshow not far from where i live in MN. last years photos we got rained out and i only got about 10 good shots. but this year i decided to make up for the loss last year so i took over 300 photos with the digital camera. Im a big WWII nut.....thats why i am sharing this with you.
Here are the radio controlled aircraft. there was a total of maybe 30 of them sittin around. The jet powered ones were fast and loud....really fast. they were keeping up with the real planes flying around. They were fun to watch because of the stunts they could do and slow and fast speeds. they can make them jump like they were on a pogo stick. and the plane was standing on its tail. that was fun to watch.
Here is the plane that they are rebuilding from the crash last year while i was there. This was a mustang that was crashed at the show and the pilot died. They are rebuilding it to its original state. they had a bunch of tributes to the pilot throughout the event. It was one of only like 5 of the Tuskegee planes left.
Here is puff the airplane. it was used in Vietnam. it has 3 mini guns sticking out the other side of the plane. it could lay down some extreme suppressive fire for the guys. I think i had this plane in the set last year as well.
They had 3 additional P-51 Mustangs along with the one that is in pieces from last year. and all these planes im showing you flew thought out the day.
