MMmmm...Mother's Showtime QD...

I was able to purchase a nice mister (finger style--not trigger) from "The Container Store"...heard about this from Nick T. I believe...I purchased a couple of them for $1.69 (plastic) or you can get the brushed aluminum one for $2.99...the spray head has EXCELLENT misting action...I have a bottle for Mother's Showtime,Z-6, and CK QuikShine...

Thanks for the link: you're saying because Showtime has no carnauba, it's safe to use in conjunction with Zaino?!

I'm probably going to Z2 at least once/month. but Showtime often.

Thanks again,

You are welcome.

Mother's QD appears to be safe for Zaino ( no carnuaba). This QD should wash or wear-off easily with a Z7 wash or time. I would still QD with Z6 after each wash and prior to each additional coat of Z2/5 and use the Mother's between washes.

Of course with this said, Zaino is, IMO, very system oriented and the very best results and durability is achieve by using only Zaino products. But if you apply a coat of polish (Z2/5) once a month, wash with Z7 and use Z6 periodically, you should have no problems. :xyxthumbs :wavey

You can also go to the kitchenwares section and you should be able to find a pump-up aerosol sprayer for a few dollars (US anyway:rolleyes: ). You fill it up halfway or something, pump it up several times, and you have an instant aerosol. I bought one to try this, but it got lost somewhere and I'm still looking for it... :(

PS: Don't forget to shake your QD before use. :doh

Ahhh yes...thanks 4DSC!...I remember hearing about that too...I believe TortoiseAWD posted about using it with great success...

Yep, that's me. However, I find that the sprayers only last a few months before they begin to leak and drip at the valve. Still worth the money, IMO, as it provides a nice, small aerosol sprayer to keep in the car, and the sprayers are (relatively) inexpensive.

Someone posted a link to U.S. Plastics the other day, and they carry the same pump aerosol sprayer as the kitchen sprayers, but with chemical-resistant parts. I plan to pick up a few of those to see how they measure stand up to abuse.

Is this QD that's wearing out the sprayer, or something else?

I can only assume that something in the QD is causing it, because it has happened on several sprayers now. And, it's happenend with different brands of QD, as well . . . :nixweiss

My hope is that the chemical resistant pump aerosol sprayers from U.S. Plastics will be more durable. I'll post a review if/when I get a couple.

Thanks Tort. I'll have to dig out my sprayer and try it. I'll use Mothers in it since they say no alcohol, which should help.... maybe. :p

I also think their "no alcohol" thing would help the QD maintain performance even after baking in the car like my "emergency bottles" do....

I actually hate the smell cause it reminds me of some medicine I took as a kid! Unlesssss..............Maybe mom gave me Mothers Showtime! That WOULD explain a lot!

WOW, that is EXACTLY what I was thinking yesterday when I was using some of this stuff. I just couldnt put my finger on what it was though.:nixweiss

I was in (gulp) the dollar store the other day, and saw some handles sticking out of a bin. I tried to remember where I had seen those little white, curved handles.

"Griott's Garage sprayers!".

Well, not the real thing, but for $1.50, the spray nozzle atomizes very nicely, and fits onto almost all my bottles.
