That *looks* like the one that I had tried, though we all know how "looks" can be. 
I am willing to give them a whirl--especially based upon the recommendation of poster whom I respect.
Chris, I assume that your car stays *very* clean, rarely seeing rain in your neck of the woods. How does the sponge compare to say MF, which is what I *think* I would use (initial impression anyhow) if my car were kept as your is. My thinking here is that since the dust is so light, the MF would be the better choice (negating its "picking up and holding on to evrything" affliction)--not saying it *is* the better choice, just asking for the differences/pros/cons.

Joe, yes, my car stays pretty clean and doesn't get driven in the rain but does sometimes sit while it rains.
It does however collect lots of polishing dust and just dust in general when I'm out doing my thing.
I haven't used a MF mitt to wash it and don't think I would as I don't want to use something with so little nap while doing a wash. I will also note that when I QD, I NEVER go below the trim line as that area is reserved for the wash.

ooh, i'm gonna have to try some of these sponges out for my rims.
anyone tried/or think that these would work for some black trim? i have lots of it around the bottom of my car. i might give them a shot for my rock rails and roof rack too, black powder coated.
and on a side note, aren't all sponges hydrophillic? I don't think there could be a hydrophobic sponge?

Is the regimen, QD daily as long as no rain, ONR with the sponge if it has seen rain(or weekly wash)?
I would never own black Honda paint--just so you know. LOL

I can also back the recomendation for the sponges Chris is touting. IMO they are the only way to wash with ONR, and they are pretty damn good with a traditional soap as well(Squeeze the sponge, dip into bucket, let the sponge recompress, and then squeeze the sponge to release MASSIVE amounts of suds onto your paint before you start washing)>

The regimen is to QD as long as there is very light dust(kind that would almost blow away with a good wind) and ONR if it's more than that(compounding dust, random stuff from trees etc.) or if it gets wet at all.
Honda black paint has been a teacher all on its' own. It is quickly revealed what you've done right and what you've done wrong. It's unforgiving to say the least. I get away with doing so much less to the cars that are subjected to so much more. :furious:

I've been using these Quickie spongies for a few weeks now and I feel like they're pretty gentle on the paint. I'm using ONR as well.
Speaking of black honda paint, I'm about to detail my BLACK 06 accord coupe this weekend after owning it for 7 months (yes I've neglected it). I doubt the swirl-free finish will last long, since the air in Houston is so polluted.
Guess I'll find out eventually.

Hehe, you and I both--my Dad had a 1987 civic that was passed on to me, been driving Hondas ever since.
