I think your exactly right. A customer of mine bought me some of these towels because her housecleaner loves them. They arent the same brand but look identical.

They work awesome on glass!!I love them so far.:bigups
 
I don't know what happened to these. I had em in my office for months annoyed that I paid 128.00 for a priority mail envelope of these things
 
I bought six under a different brand name that I can't recall at the moment. Initially I was disappointed until I realized I hadn't wrung the cloth out near enough. Once I got every last drop of water out it worked like a charm. This was billed as a glass & mirror cleaner nothing more. It absolutely works as advertised, simply amazing. No smears, no stripes, just perfectly clean clear glass. I am impressed!

Got one pretty dirty and threw it in the washer with other MF towels using Charlie's Soap. All came out clean as a whistle.
 
So this is now "the latest and greatest"

Guess I'm just ahead of my time :)
