Looks freakin' awesome--and I love that color combo (nice mirror caps as well)! I have two MCSs (02 DS/B, 04 BRG/W), and just spent last Saturday detailing the '02. I finished too late for pics, and the next day--predictably--was misty/cloudy and it's rained for a coupla days straight here. May freshen it up tonight or tomorrow and post a pic or two.

What wax/application technique did you use to achieve that final glow? It looks amazing.

Thanks for the positive comments.

The process was as follows :

Rinse down clean with the hose.

Wash with NXT wash (did not dry the car after)

Clayed with Megs clay the whole car

Rewashed with NXT wash

Dried

Applied AIO using MF sponge (by hand, wiped with a clean MF towel)

Applied RMG using MF sponge (by hand wiped with a clean MF towel)

Applied Megs NXT wax using supplied sponge wiped off with MF

24 hours later applied 2nd coat of Megs NXT wax again with sponge wiped off with MF

Cheers

Sorry, I'm an acronym idiot--I know what the NXT is, but what are AIO and RMG?

Also, "orange peel" is a term used to describe an undesirable characteristic of a painted finish, and looks like exactly what the name implies; the skin of an orange. I worked in a body shop as a teenager, and if memory serves, it's can be caused by doing anything that causes the paint to go on too thick before drying (faulty gun, too close, moving too slow, etc.), thereby creating a 'deep' liquid which is then stippled by the pressure of the new paint being applied. Your paint (the door detail in particular) seems to have a slight case of orange peel, but it could just be the pic.

Neither of my MCSs have it as far as I've noticed.

As for as I know that car paint does not have orange peel. Any pics that look like that are just "bad" pictures !

AIO = Klasse All In One (this is a paint cleaner)

RMG = Clearkote Red Machine Glaze (this adds the wet deep shine look)

Cheers

That is orange peel. Without orange peel, your reflection would look 100% clear. Just FYI. Still looks great, though. Love that color! :up
