Mineral Green X5 plus 106FF in Eye!

Hello, the weather finally cooperated here, in the lower 70's!

Well my PC came in the mail last week and I had promised my wife I would polish her car as soon as the weather cooperated so I took it for a spin.

Foamed the car and washed 2 bucket method with gs

Clayed using Mothers kit.

Washed

Polished with Menz 106FF PC Orange pad.

IPA wipedown

layer of Z2

Layer of Wolfgang sealer, let it cure overnight.

Finished with Z8.

I am new to PC and everything was going well till the phone rang, I accidentally pulled up and got a load of 106ff in my right eye! WOW it hurt! Luckly my wife wears contacts so I rinsed with saline for a few minutes and it was OK but my eye felt gritty all night. :nomore: I know, should of had safety glasses on!

A few things I learned, should have bought Menz SIP for inital polish, her car had a lot of swirls and the 106ff did a great job but some of the bigger ones would not come out.

Also her car has an unusual color and it did not reflect like my black car. I used the Z8 as the final product this time but my VW Red should be in this week, so I will try that with the Z8 next time.

Also, I am just not good with photo's can't seem to get the correct swirls to show up and get a great after shot.

^^^I know I still giggling on and off about it. Hes got a point though.

Great job on your X5. Especially with being new to the PC. How long did you found it to take with the 106 per pass?

Getcha, worked a 2X2 area at a time took about 3.5 hours for the polishing.

I went rather slow with pressure applied.
