Migliore

I have never heard of it...although in reading the "Primo" blend, they are selling the jar/engraving and packaging more than the wax itself.

Yeah, looks like they're trying a bit too hard to be elegant, but I have a gut feeling it may be an awesome wax... just a gut feeling though.

For what they are charging you'd think they'd have a really bada$$ website.

That was my first impression too. Being a web designer myself I checked the source of the site... made by Yahoo! Site Builder... no comment. There quite a few things I could say about the wax's presentation, the site, their approach, lack of SEO, etc., but I won't judge a book by it's cover and count it out as being a worthy wax... Everyone's got to start somewhere, right? I'd be willing to give it a test drive.

Seems to be decent stuff. I have the original and the frutta versions. Nice carnauba glow and durability is pretty good. Not that easy to remove though, takes some effort.

Very nice products. Would recommend to anyone. Donnie is awesome to do business with or you can pick up the line at a lot of distributors now.

I recently purchased some Migliore Original Blend of Fine Wax from Don here on Driver and got to give it a test drive over the weekend while on vacation.

I applied the wax on a warm partly sunny day. The application of the wax was very easy and I just loved the smell of it........it was a real nice citrus smell. I found that after it was exposed to the warmth for a period of time that it got soft and it made it a little more difficult to apply a nice thin coat. Other than that, it was very easy to apply.

The removal of the wax was extremely easy, on par with Natty's Blue which I am a regular user of. The depth and shine that Migliore's gives is outstanding. My favorite wax that I've used to date has been Natty's Blue, which I've found gives a great look on darker colors. Well, Migliore's surpasses Natty's Blue in a big way IMO. Migliore's wax left my paint with such a deep wet look, I just loved it. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves and would HIGHLY recommend Migliore's fine wax. Thanks Don!

FMINUS Detailed: My own TSX

Theres not too many pics here, I just have the final shots in the garage. This is an 2005 TSX with about 70k miles on it. It sits outside, hardly ever driven. We use this as our guest car. It was beyond dirty, very disgusting. Sorry no before pics.

I was surprised that the car still had a shine that like underneath the dirt! Even the nieghbor asked if that was a different car!

I also got a chance to use Migliore wax, very easy to apply and remove. Has a very nice glow to it! Thumbs up from FMINUS on the Migliore wax!

It was a gloomy day, certainly not the best weather to highlight Silverstone. Overall the car was is decent shape before the detail. We took the time to really address the wheels, front bumper and headlights. We compounded the headlights with Optimum Compound via a 4" yellow LC pad, they turned out great. The rest was strictly Migliore products.

So as I'm out on vacation at my parents house in the Ozark Mountains in Missouri, I decided to clean up their 2007 Infiniti G35S. They keep it in good shape so unfortunately I don't have a "look how bad it was, but how good it is now" story but I was impressed with how well it turned out. Amazing how IP shines with some detailing love.

Interior:

-- Lexol pH Leather Cleaner

-- Lexol Leather Conditioner

-- Vinylex

Exterior:

-- No abrasive polish necessary

-- Menzerna FMJ

-- Migliore's Original Blend

All I had on hand was a point n' shoot camera so apologies for not having super high-def photos but I think you can still see the shine.

Don... Feel free to use these if you'd like.

My comments: I absolutely love Menzerna products. From their abrasives like Menzerna SIP and Menzerna PO106ff to their sealants... Menzerna FMJ my favorite... I've never been dissappointed. I had recently picked up some Migliore's Original Blend from Don@Migliore as a fine wax and used it on my G37 and now on my parents G35 and have been extremely pleased as well. Seems to be a good combo. Give the a nice "wet" look with excellent protection as well.

On to a few pics...

So I picked up a sample from Don weeks ago to give it a try. Had seen quite a few good reviews on this site and my research on the web showed complete satisfaction with the products.

Let me be the first to say I'm always very skeptical and hesitant about products that aren't sold mainstream and are sold by independent "distributors". I tend to stick to professional detailing products like the Menzerna line, Pinnacle, Chemical Guys, etc. Products like this a industry proven to provide excellent results.

Well... Migliore's has changed my perception of products like this. I'll always hold judgement and have more respect for the smaller exclusive guys until I have tried their products.

First Impression After Opening Migliore's Original (10 out of 10)

Pleasantly surprised. The wax is much different than your typical carnuba wax. I'm was so amazed at the percentage of wax and oils that appear to be packed into this product. Not to mention, that it smells great. A perfect citrus smell that is quite addicting.

Application on Migliore's Original (9 out of 10)

Prior to applying the Migliore's the car was of course cleaned and prepped for a sealant and wax. I started off using my Menzerna FMJ which I've always been pleased with. It provides excellent durability and in my opinion provides a nice base for a topping with a Carnuba wax. In the past, I've normally used Poorboys Natty's Blue on top of the Menzerna FMJ.

Application of the product was a breeze. When applying with a microfiber pad, it was very easy to get a smooth and consistent layer of Migliore's on the car. The product is very smooth as well. A nice thin layer is all you need with this stuff and due to all the oils, it makes it especially easy to do. The last thing you want to do when applying a wax is to apply too much or have an uneven application.

Removal of Migliore's Original (8 out of 10)

Removal of the Migliore’s was on par with other fine waxes I’ve used. For me, after a first pass of removal with a microfiber, I did not some oily residue left, however, with another pass with a clean microfiber the residue was easily removed. I did notice that if I let it dry a bit longer that it was easier to remove. I also pulled my G37 out into the driveway where it was a bit warmer and still not in direct sunlight and removal was significantly improved. I guess it’s something you gotta try with waxes. The wax did not produce any dust or flakes of excess wax. Very smooth removal.

Final Impression After Using Migliore’s Original (9 out of 10)

AN OUTSTANDING PRODUCT! I’m very pleased with the Migliore’s Original. As mentioned above, application of the product was a breeze and removal was consistent with other fine waxes. The wax produced a nice dark and wet look to my G37. I’m very picky about waxes used on black cars… some fine waxes are overly shiny. I prefer a nice dark, deep, wet look, which was easily accomplished with the Migliore.

I will use Migliore’s again and would gladly recommend the product to others. It is consistent with other fine carnuba waxes and very competively priced. The guys at Migliores have a winner with this one for sure. I can’t wait to try the Primo Blend soon.
