Might change my company name.. For the THIRD time..

A little update:

I just graduated from college yesterday, woohoo!

I'll be doing some traveling all around Asia to research on some of the latest shops and detailing trends

Looking to open the shop in 4 months and go full time



I'm currently on my second business name now. Changed it from Flawless Perfection Detailing to Vive: Auto Finishing Detailing. FB page is growing steadily, I'm making a good name for myself. Nothing is registered yet, nothing will be concrete until my shop opens. And now I'm thinking about changing to a different name again. How do guys go about this in terms of letting customers know or even migrating them to a new FB page, email etc etc..



I'm half way into finishing up my website and that I'm thinking about a new name, I might just drop it. Should I start thinking of the new name and get the website running ASAP to build the SEO and build up my name all over again?



I know I can send mass emails but other options would be great!
 
Think about really expensive restaurants. They don't usually have names like Super premium ultra custom steakhouse. Folks remember simple names like "Vive." With the upscale vehicles you are doing you may want a name that resonates with people with that kind of money. Vive sounds a bit like a hair salon or wrinkle cream but the simple names like that will stay catchy for a long time. I think you're really close!

Confused and partially concerned. You're doing business as (one of the 2 names) without any sort of official business organization with your state?
 
I think he might mean he has a DBA, but no LLC yet. I would absolutely get a LLC if I had a shop location!



branding....changing names doesnt allow you to do that!
 
Hey Anson, I liked Vive and you already have a great website going. Why make it more of a hassle to change name again and build reputation. Focus on the build for your shop, budgeting, marketing, insurance etc... "What's in a name?"
 
Anson copy Andy ....................and take "Zenith Detail" lol, seriously "Vive" is catchy.............and different so imo stay with that.

If you do change your name and register a new domain name, just keep the existing website address and redirect it to the new one. This is done by using a 301 redirect at the server level. Any existing clients upon typing in your URL will be sent automatically to your new website. (This will also keep visitors coming from links posted around the web and help maintain your built up link authority.)
