Last thursday we got one of those amazing springlike days that enables you to go outside without getting pissed off. Here's what I started with:

Great pics :xyxthumbs my car looks like those first pics within a few days of washing :(

Is that rust on your rear brake disc or the effects of using a wheel cleaner? BTW nice car :up

Its probably rust. The discs rust very quickly but that is fixed by just driving normally and stopping.

Yours too? I'm the kinda guy that would no more drive around in a dirty beat up car than I'd walk around in a filthy torn up suit, and so far, this winter has been TERRIBLE for car washing around here. I've had it washed once, maybe twice since December! Looks terrible.

Discs are very rusty- I got my winter car running correctly and now the Miata is safely ensconsed (and clean!) in the garage, hopefully for the duration of the winter. :)

I wire-brushed, sanded, cleaned and painted the portion of the disc which the pads do not clamp around when I was painting my calipers. I also did the hub- and no more rust!

She looks great- an inspiration for me later today. +2, and I'm going to have to brave it.
