has anyone tried the microtek, drying towel from walmart? it is korean made 70/30 and huge. so far so good. how long do you wait b4 cleaning? any pros/cons compared to other drying technics/ or towels/ chamois. thanks for any comments. oh yeah, it's good to be back. i'll behave this time.

I bought one today but have not used it. I plan to use mine with S&W and will wash after every use. It seems like good quality towel but it's not especially cheap at $8

And welcome back.

i thought i saw some similar ones on verious websites for $20. i thought i was getting a steal. i must be comparing with a different type of product. i tried it this am, but i didn't use it till i had already chamoised the vehicle. i forgot i had bought it yesterday. obviously i was a little hung over this am.thanks dalmore let me know your results. oh btw what is s&w? im new here.

Poorboys Spray and Wipe - a waterless cleaning product. It's great. :bigups But I eat up a lot of MF because of it!

I just looked the microtek again - it's bigger than I thought at 24 x 40. I was thinking it was like 16 by 30 or so. I guess $7.90 is a good deal after all. I change my vote!!

Interesting. It's only $6.87 at our Super Wal*Mart.

I bought 5 of them about a month ago, and I absolutely love them !!! They are very plush, and absorbant !!!

Used mine yesterday to S&W the pollen off the z3 - it's a quality towel from wally world. And it was $6.87 here too. I stumbled across the reciept.

Every now and again Wally World can surprise. I will have to check out the microtek towel for that price. :bigups

I noticed that these towels NEED to be washed first...there is some sort of sizing that prevents the towel from absorbing water!! ..even though it's a drying towel!!??. After I washed it, it worked MUCH better.

Folks, remember that what may be a bargain or great deal, may be more than you need.....24x40 is a huge towel ! I have found a 24x30 to be my ultimate size of choice !! Do any of you find you need to take special precautions while drying so you dont drag it ?? Just a thought...

I have to remember to sweep the garage before detailing. Otherwise I get grit from the floor in my MF's
