Micromarring???

Remember that M105 *does not* break down. And at the risk of being pendantic, you don't really "work it in".

Stop and buff off the residue before it dries, and keep your work areas small (at least until you get a feel for how the stuff works).

How long were you working the 105 in a single test area?

Is nobody going to mention how huge of a jump an uber yellow pad is to an uber blue pad? Lol

Get yourself some orange pads to use between the blue and yellow pads. You cant expect to go from a compouning pad to finishing pad and get rid of the marring an aggressive combo will leave behind.

I agree with everyone saying youre not getting enough cut yet, but even when you do, following up with a blue finishing pad after compounding isnt going to do a whole lot for you and you probably wont be happy with the results.

That *is* a good point!

I guess I figured he'd be so happy with the Meguiar's MF cutting disks that he wouldn't go back to yellow foam cutting pads (which I haven't used in ages).

SOOOoooo, I just went back and re-read the whole thread and 2 things jumped out at me. The first is that I bumped an old thread because the forums are apparently dead outside of winter time lol.

But the second thing I noticed is that it appears that the OP only has a MF cutting disc and not MF finishing disc. He was going from M105/MF cutting disc to M205/Green uber pad... Do you think this is ok Accumulator? When I use foam I go yellow, orange, blue.

But to be honest ever since I've gotten my MF cutting and finishing discs I haven't used foam... at least not very often. I thank you for that Accumulator, best suggestion you've ever given me, I definitely don't regret buying them and you definitely wouldn't have an extra set on your hands if I had taken you up on your offer lol.

browmbob06- Glad they're working out so well for you.

I don't know about the jump from M105/MF to M205/green as I've never used that particular green pad. I do find that M105/MF finishes pretty well, so it might be OK and I think it might be one of those case-by-case things where you just have to see.

I've found that using a LC Flat Orange pad and Menzerna FG400 makes the finish practically OC ready. Just make sure to wash car with stripping soap or use Isopropyl wipe down before applying OC.:clap2:
