Microfibre mitts vs lambs wool mitts?

Im surprised no one mentioned a grout sponge yet. I love them. I agree with Patrick. A 40 dollar washmitt is crazy. I could get 20 sponges for that. lol

I'm with you Barry. I love those things....:bigups

i personally like the sheep skin mitts.

i have used em all like the mf dreadlock ones and those suck to me.

i used the lake county red foam mitt that was good but was a wierd shape so it was hard to use and it seemed to trap dirt in the foam surface.

So...I'd argue that the *best* thing is to not have the mitt retain dirt in the first place ;) When I wash a winter-filthy vehicle and my rinse buckets are basically still clean at the end of the wash, I'm confident that my dislodge-and-flush method was working OK.

I was responding to anthony a .. mf mitt releases dirt just as good..

All else being equal it's natural vs synthetic fibers in question right ?

Im sorry I failed to see 'something' in your post.. Yes i feel safe if there's no dirt in the wash medium (no matter how you make it happen) are you trying to say there are other things i should consider ?

Frequent visits to the rinse bucket are very important IMO to but keep in mind there are many rinseless wash advocates on here that DO NOT use a rinse bucket at all.

I think those advocates of single bucket onr are using either or both

1. ONR mixed in a special way

2. Hardcore lsp protection that makes heavier dirts not stick to the paint

Otherwise i cant find any way to understand how daring they are rubbing a mitt on the hood when it has just touched the bottom panel..In professional manner as well

Sorry, I think I came across wrong :o I wasn't really addressing your post specifically, just using it for a jumping off point.

I was just replaying my endless loop about how once a wash medium gets contaminated it's a potential scratch machine. By the time people rinse out the mitt, I worry that it's already been used to drag abrasive [stuff] across the paint.

As for the MF/wool releasing dirt issue, I do think that the wool releases certain kinds of dirt much better. For that matter, no mitt I've ever used comes *close* to releasing dirt as well as a BHB (simply no comparison at all), but that's *really* veering off-topic.
