Microfiber towels in the kitchen?

Hey Guys,

I know this sounds a little strange but today when I was in the kitchen making dinner (yes I make dinner too) I thought to myself, "self these kitchen towels suck too use cleaning up"

My wife has not discovered how nice microfiber is because I think she would want a pack for herself.

But has anyone brought their old microfiber towels into the kitchen? Or any other out of the ordinary uses in your home?

any microfibers that aren't worth of using on the car, i use to clean up my bathtub/sink and then toss em'...

My wife prefers the ww towels large and small for kitchen..dishes, counters, etc.

My mom sewed two ww towels and made a hair wrap for when she is done swimming.

At $3.24 per ww towel (20x40), you can't lose!

MF towels are great in any room of the house, the large waffle weave towels make great dish drying towls, as well as for drying off the kids after a bath(we want to be as soft with there skin as with our cars) for dusting furniture, for cleaning computer screens, for every job that involves a liquid. My son carrys them in my granddaughters diaper bag, great for cleaning up those pesky pablum burps..... The uses are endless

Would work well for cleaning stainless steel stoves, fridges, etc. Paper towels scratch those.

Huh...my paper towels don't scratch stainless steel  But good that you found something that works better for you.

Absolutely :xyxthumbs

Kitchen, bathrooms, you name it. I use 'em *every* night to damp-mop the tile floors in the kitchen and mudroom (dogs ya know..).

I bought a gross of 'em from...uh...I forget who it was...for such duty and I use my old, now-linting-a-little WWMFs for glass for household duties too.

I also use an Absorber on myself after I shower, prior to reaching for the regular cotton bath towel. The first such towel I ever saw was called a "Sensei Sport Sponge" and was sold for this long before such stuff hit the detailing market.

My wife used to buy a disposable towel for dusting. I gave her some MF's and she never uses the other ones anymore. Saves some money!
