Just a heads up... in case anyone might be interested.
Stopped by one of my local Big Lots to check out some of their "detailing" supplies and I stumbled upon a three-pack of 14x14" microfiber towels for $2.50. They're white with red stitching and marketed by GE Lexan... at least that's what I remember on the packaging. Looking at the tag (and each of the towels has one), it looks to be manufactured by Calderon Textiles. The content is a 80/20 blend. From my initial look and feel, they're a tad bit thicker than the blue ones from Walmart (Microtex) and the nap is tighter. The ends of the red stitching at the corners were heated so there's a bit of hard plastic to cut off before use, so buyer beware.
I passed on these as I have enough towels to last me for quite some time. There was also a ton of the aerosol NXT tire cleaner also for $2.50.
Happy hunting,
Mike
For reference, I'm located in San Jose, CA.
