Microfiber, is it worth it?

Thinking about ordering a Microfiber kit from pakshack. Is it really worth it, or can I stick to regular terry cloth towels? Is it fairly easy to dry with the waffle style towel? I've been using the water blade for years ;P
 
I think it's worth it. I might be hard to swallow at first but I just my teeth and put in my first order. After using pakshak mf's, it was a little hard to believe what I had been previously using on my car. Waffle weave towels dry well. They dont have super powers but dry better than anything else on the market and will not scratch. Just put in a small order to see if you like it. But be warned... it probably won't be your last order. =)
 
Is MF worth it?!?

Once you get that WW and sheet the paint without a nozzle, you'll put the CWB away, it just becomes obsolete.

MF cloths from PakShak are definately worth it! I get all my cloths from Ranney. Second to none IMO. :bow



I just ordered a pack of ten ultras last night. Great cloths.

I have a big stack of MF towels because I use them so much around the house and washing the car.



I got mine at Costco. They sell packs of twelve for $9. They're yellow, super-thick and measure 18"x18".
 
MF and WW-MF are worth every red cent you pay for them. And if you call up Ranney @ PakShak and mention Autopia, you get an awesome deal. His towels are the best I've used yet. Planning to place another order soon, myself.
 
Bit the bullet and ordered the $49.99 pack to try them out. Damnit! What kind of discount does he give? I already ordered =( Maybe he can credit me if I call, but i'd feel weird doing that :o
 
If he hasn't shipped it out yet send him an email or call. I ordered and didn't know about the autopia discount until the next day. Ranney hadn't shipped it yet and just credited my VISA for the difference.



My discount was something like 50% but then you get charged shipping but you still end up way ahead. Don't feel weird, Ranney has no problem giving you the discount or else he wouldn't offer it. Just telll him you're an Autopia member.:xyxthumbs
 
I have the WW and a 16 x 24 .. I use the 16 x 24 for pre drying eg I do a quick walk around with it dragging it over the surface to pick up most the water then switch to the WW to finish it off. Makes for very fast drying. I also use some of the WalMart cheapied for drying the door edges etc.



What I like about the WW is the lack if friction in drying.



I did a detail for a woman Friday and after I was done I washed an dried mine in 25 minutes .. this was wash/ dry do door / trunk edges and dry wheels & tires and wipe down the dash. She was amazed .. but it was all because of the MF.
 
Are the walmart MF's worth buying, or will they marr your car? How about Wizard's MF clothes? Looking for somthin to buy that i can get locally.
 
Walmart here has brand name towels and chamois, but i don't think any of them compar to Quality MF towels. I would recommend that your buy MF's from autopia or properauto care or autogeek or something. shipping isnt that much on towels. besides the end result is so much better with a quality towel!
 
Once you have gotten quality MF's, you won't use the Walmart or Costco stuff. I started out with 5 terry MF's from Neatitems, and 1 suede MF for glass. Now I have 5 WW's (PakShak, JT, Autopia), and about 30 Terry MF's (JT, Autopia, Autofiber). It's madness, but I am thinking of getting even more. :p
 
LOL, I have probably 100 mf towels.... The biggest problem with the cheap ones isn't that they mar the paint; it's that once you have some good ones, you never use the cheap ones ever again. I use my good towels, and then rather than digging into the cheap ones when I need more, I wash the good ones and use them again.



The cheap ones are for giving away, for keeping in the car to clean my glasses, for when I have 5 or 6 people at my house doing their cars all at once, stuff like that.
