MicroFiber help

Newbie here, still learning while trying to get some supplies together.

I found some Microfiber polishing cloths at Pepboys. They're really plush compared to everything I have felt locally and I plan to use these to remove wax. I did the the CD test and they did not scratch the CDR no matter how hard I pressed, but there are made of 100% polyester. Is this bad? I keep reading that I should be looking for a 70/30 or 80/20 but nothing mentions 100% polyester.

The brand is Peak Car Care Products, SPA Polishing Towels. I picked them because they were really really plush compared to everything else. They were two for $5. I've compared plushness to the Vroom orange and grey and these were plusher but again these are 100% polyester. Is there anything wrong with 100% polyester?

I'll check on the viking at Kmart and compare the plushness to these.

Is my realiance on plushness incorrect? Should I be more concerned with material ratio and why? As mentioned I was going to use these specifically for wax removal.

Bingo.

I personally dont like super plush towels for every step. I prefer them for the LSP removal and thats about it.

I find that a medium plush towel does a great job and doesnt get bogged down and isnt as bulky to deal with.

agreed, and that's why it's good to have a variety of different microfiber towels for different tasks. i can't say that enough...

I checked the Viking at Kmart and the Peak is plusher. Yes I was looking at material content but I believe the entire thing is made of 100%, not just the edging. I'll probably get more since this seems like it would be great for wax removal.

plusher doesn't always mean better. sometimes they don't have enough bite and don't do that well of a job of removing polishes, lsp's, etc...

^^ I agree.

Those plush Peak towels(blue) would be great for drying up, especially for something like ONR. I too prefer shorter nap for product removal. More bite to it.

Hmm, point taken. I should probably settle on a wax and determine how much "bite" i would need to remove the product.

Ive made trips to Kmart and Target in the last week and the MFs at both places look nice. I dont think ill need to order mine in any more
