Thanks!

No plans for the Dream Cruise. We did a little sponsorship with it last year and got nothing out of it. I won't even be going this year because of prior engagements.

Are you going this year?

Hey, guys - I live in Lansing and have been searching all summer for a good detailer. Of the two places in town that I know of, one screwed up my paint last year and the other went out of business.

Am considering investing in a kit (PC 7424 and some supplies) but I don't have experience. I recall screwing up a black car I used to own with only a wax job. :wall

Does anyone know of a detailer in Lansing?

Thanks.

Paul I'm in flint for the time being (moving out of state at the end of the month) But I've gone as far as willamston before. I'm sure I could help you out. I don't know of anyone else actually closer to you on here. But right now I have the time and the products still to tackle just about anything out there. What kind of detailing are you looking for?

Props to Jake for doing a great job on my (neglected) car!

(And thanks to the others that offered their services - Jake got to me first....)

(Hmm, guess I can't post actual images here...)

Of course, it threatened rain all day but didn't POUR until I decided to take the car for a drive and the dog for a walk.

LOL lucy looks like she's right where she belongs there Paul. And thanks it's was a pleasure. I'd like to say anytime... But anytime I'm back in the area and have my stuff.

Probably not. I forgot my camera and didn't get to take any process pics at all. I do have a couple more coming up though that should make for some great write ups.

She's where she thinks she belongs! Sometimes I wish she could drive!

Hmm, I wondered about that - figured the overcast skies weren't conducive to a photoshoot. Just as well I suppose, since you charge by the hour!

Anyone here have (positive) experience/results with polishing windshields?

I've got a ton of tiny chips and scratches after 90K miles that make it hard to see when the sun is even close to shining directly on the windshield.

I'm debating having this done (if I find someone to do it) or replacing the windshield. It's not broken, but there is a TSB for an irritating-as-hell dashboard rattle common to these cars that requires removing the windshield to place felt between the foreward edge of the dashboard and the crossmember it makes contact with.

I too am looking for a proper detailer, I just had it taken somewhere and they did not even wash car before they took buffer to it and are trying to say my paint is dead and that there is not much they can do with it. Mind you it is 38 yrs old original lacquer paint

New MI member here, found this site a while ago, finally registered. Just looking to get some basic knowledge on detailing/paint correction for myself and my vehicles to keep them in tip-top shape.
