MF Washmitt

I have two of them I bought from Advance Auto, and I love them. I don't know if they are truely MF though. Mine look like that, but said Chenelle on the packaging, yet on the product list listed the typical 70/30 mix of the two fibers contained in MF. I really like it a lot, was actually going to post a review of them in a few days after I got good pics. I use them in an Accumulator-style wash with the nozzle inside the mit spraying soapy water. The mit holds a TON of water and soap, and is absolutely the thickest mit I've ever seen/used. I absolutely love them. Only downside is that they take awhile to dry (couple days, even in 85 degree + heat). I honestly can't say enough good things about them. My only concern is that maybe down the road they will start to really hold dirt, but at Advance Auto here, they were only $5 US a piece. For five bucks, I dont think you can do any better.

I have a couple MF mitts but I don't like to wash with them. I think they hold on to the dirt too much, which is not good when you're washing a dirty vehicle. I use mine for spreading interior protectant on dashboards.

Target has a MF wash pad with that muppet hair on one side (this one is orange) and terry MF on the other. Not bad for $2.99...I bought a second one already.

Yeah, I have the same fear myself. As a result I haven't tried them so as to prove my concern :cooleek: but my logic would suggest they're not as safe as sheepskin. :bigups

You guys are forgetting about the different typs of MF. Remember reading about the low quality MF towels that do have that star type fibers and as a result they to NOT grab dirt? well these chennel type MF wash mits are those type.

MF can hold 8 times it weight in water which is what you'd want in a wash mit, also you want that was mit to NOT pick up dirt.

I know the Vroom Target brand is the 'non-sticky' type of MF for the Mit. I recommend it.

I have those mitts and while I agree they hold a ton of water, I find it extremely difficult to reverse the mitt on my hand (or even take it off) to use the clean side before rinsing. My MF mitt is much easier to turn and take off my hand. Awaiting a sheepskin mitt to test.

I've not come come across those...if they don't hold dirt then they should be fine. I was referring to the *conventional* MF wash mitts that are sold everywhere. :p

i have the same and i like it as well.

i just make sure to rinse it after every wash

Isn't a property of MF cloth the ability to HOLD dirt and dust?

To me, a sponge released dirt alot better than any mitt I've used before.

I have tons of wash pads...Meg's QD pads, "The Bone", MF chenille, cotton chenille, etc., and I generally launder them after every use.

I have a chenille mitt like you posted. the fingers move a lot and don't cover the surface evenly-I found that they missed a lot of dirt. I like the thick Viking MF wash mitt. It holds tons of water, cleans well and releases dirt well.
