MF question

Just got some quality MF towels from NeatItems and CMA. I plan on using the NeatItems for buffing and the CMA's for QDing. My old, crappy MF's linted bad before a couple of washes, do my good ones require a wash before use for the above mentioned purposes?



Also, I have some foam pads I plan on applying Meg#7 and Meg#26 with. Is this ok or should I use an MF instead?
 
A MF expert by no means, I have some experience and have read more. Seems the common thoughts on the board are to wash the MF prior to use, and that MF is better for taking things off the surface (water, polish, wax, etc) than putting them on. Foam seems to be the item of choice for that , as it usually gives reasonably good control of the amount of product applied.

I would wash the MF's before first use.



MF is O.K. for applying product, but personally I don't like it. IMO it uses up too much product and it's harder to get a nice thin even coat. I prefer foam.:up
