MF or WW?

A 2 pack of MF WW from walmart ( housewares section) is around $3. Best deal around. I usually only need 1 to dry the car after sheeting with hose only method. I have a Viking plush drying towel as well (hardly use anymore). After going through the Target and Walmart MF's I am about to go with those boutique MF's from Pakshak (wallet is itching).:grinno:

I just started doing that. I wish I would have know about this A LONG time ago. It works so great. I have a big black truck and I would use close to 6 MF towels to dry the whole truck. Now I am down to 3.

Without sheeting, I need at least two big waffle weave mf towels. By sheeting, I've been able to get away using one big waffle weave mf, even on bigger sedans/SUVs. My drying towels are about 24x36
evilWagon, the brand you want to look for is Walmart's generic brand, called Mainstays IIRC. You will find it in the household section. Get a pack of their glass towels too if you haven't tried it out. I like using their glass towel to do the cleaning pass, and using a dry, generic mf towel for my 2nd pass.

The mainstay WW are safe on paint?

I'm new here and to art of detailing; used NuFinish line with old t-shirts and towels in past.
Wife wants to just use 1 step Turtle, but after reading around in excellent forums like this we compromised and now have Turtle Ice wash, clay bar and paste wax.
Went to Target for Vroom drying towel; they had several of their products including Touch Drying mf which said it was for use with their Super Absorber; what was on peg labeled that way was actually Calderon Aqua Dry imitation chamois.
So does this "PVA sponge material formatted in cloth with reinforced mesh" count in your minds as WW? It's not 'flat' like Detailer's Choice and Absorber products I've seen.
I was disappointed in the way it worked on vertical surfaces. Spotless on hood and roof.
Wondering if that could be indication of less wax on doors or is that surface tension making it harder to absorb? (yes I did squeeze it out a few times).
Ordered Meg Water Magnet from Auto Alley for less than $6, seems to be popular MF WW.
