Brad B. looking good, any cool mods?;)

I noticed some Metro vacs come with 12 ft of hose. I wonder how much the suction drops the further distance. The portable comes with a 6 ft, the wall mount with a 12 ft and both 40-in extension pipe.

Is the suction at 6 ft essentially the same as 12 ft: 90+ inches of lift.

I don't have a specific answer for you but I will try to find the data (if available) from the manufacturer. I use two hoses on my portable Metro-Vac and the power drop off is extremely minimal in my experience. I cannot notice much, if any difference in performance.

I will be getting some extensions soon. I too had that question in mind when I purchased mine. I have found it is very important to clean that fabric bag if you have one to maintain a high level of suction. If I don't clean it before my next car I can notice within the first few minutes of using it that I didn't clean it out. A few minutes makes a big difference!

Have you used the disposable filters to notice anything better or worse?
