Metro Blaster - Who has one and consistently uses it

I`m pondering adding the MB Revolution to the stash.
Need or want - I don`t know. Maybe it`s more want than anything.

I already use our 40V Dewalt Cordless Blower....so no 2 cycle crap.

Yes, I know the metro is technically *cleaner air*.
Between the footprint, cords, hose and all that - I can see how I would buy it, never to really use it.

Literally, with the current blower, I just pick it up and squeeze a trigger.
Sure it`s not as ergonomic (weight), but it drys almost every car easy peasy.

Anybody have a Metro Blaster only to have it gather dust.

I have the 8ho master blaster mounted on the wall running of a dedicated 20 amp outlet. It has the 30 foot extension hose. I kept blowing the 15amp. I use it to dry my cars and blow the leaves out of the garage. Awesome tool. Before I mounted it I rarely used it. Now it`s too easy to use so I do. Need to do the same with the pressure washer.

I use my Blaster on every wash. It`s a must-have for me. It brings in a different level of clean. You have so much air to blow out all those crevices.

And I use it on every wash to blow out the interiors of the vehicles I care for. The interiors look factory fresh after a good blasting.

I bought my Revolution almost a year ago.
Haven`t used it yet.
Long Story....(I haven`t done a thorough detail yet this year)
Sent the wall bracket to a fellow Autopian since I know I`de never hang it.
I love the Sidekick and hope someone posts a teaser video to remind me why I bought it.
Then maybe I`ll get the 30` hose if I try it out.
If I don`t use it this coming spring it`s going up for trade.

I`d think almost *everybody* needs some kind of forced-air drying, can`t see how you`d dry the nooks and crannies otherwise.

My combo is a compressor for those areas and an AirWand for the body proper, but if a compressor isn`t in the cards [INSERT lecture about how everybody needs a compressor anyhow...] then maybe the MB can cover both bases.

I love it, but only after replacing the stiff 30` hose with a much more flexible 50` hose. I also added a remote control outlet to control it. Before I made those two enhancements, I`d rather just reach for the Sidekick. But after those changes, I use it all the time.

[what hose link please. I could use a more flexible hose and an extra 20 feet.

Does the extra length kill any power.

I think most use pool hoses but they are not cheap either. I would use mine more if I also had it mounted-- have not done it yet and need an outlet closer to where I want to mount it.

Thx all. For those in the camp of Nay, I think that`s where my position would be for now ?

Cordless Blower - I just grab, and pull the trigger.
Cordless has changed alot of things.....even stuff like angle grinders, SDS drills, full blown 3000Lumen lighting, etc. The list goes on for me.

I mostly do rinseless washes but when I do a hose wash I always use my Master Blaster. I don`t have it mounted so I use it inside and outside the garage, it still has the wheels on it. If I drive my car in the rain I like to blow the rain (or snow) off the car as soon as I pull it into the garage. I have the stiff original hose and I use an extension cord on it so I have to constantly be mindful of the hose and the cord. I really like mine and I`m glad I bought it. The cord and hose are minor things to deal with in exchange for getting all the water out of the cracks and off the vehicle.

I also have 2 cordless blowers and 2 electric blowers that I have used, the cordless, even the 40v one, doesn`t come near the MB performance for me. The electric blowers work better than the cordless for me but the MB still does a better job. I would like to have a more flexible hose though.

Where did you purchase the hose from? I bought mine as an open box special so I only have the really short hose.

I haven`t noticed any difference in the airflow. The hose I bought is really nice, but it isn`t perfect. The spiral in the hose goes the wrong way, so I had to use some wide electric tape to attach the nozzle. Aside from that, it works great. It is *way* more flexible, the extra length makes it much more useful.

This is the hose that I bought. It`s rather pricey since I had to special order it.

thermoplastic all purpose hose

I bought one years ago when I had my C6 and a High $ Victory motorcycle. I HAD TO use it every time on the motorcycle , really no way around detailing a bike and not using forced air, and the heated air really helped

But never use it now. I am pretty sure if I had it wall mounted and a 50 ` hose it would get much more use. But since I don`t- it just sits @ parade rest and collects dust.
