Method of pre-cleaning trashed leather before Leatherique treatment?

What can I say, my leather is trashed, its dark leather, and while it still doesnt show the dirt, I can tell its in pretty bad shape. At least as far as the front seats go. What I'm looking for is a way to pre-clean these seats, to get off as much grime as I can, so that when I do the Leatherique treatment due sometime June or July, the chemicals will be able to fight more of the grime thats deep down in the pores of the leather, in stead of the stuff thats all over it right now. At first, I was pondering APC, but on leather it kindah worries me. Any suggestions>? TIA

You don't need to pre-clean seats to Leatherique them. If you still wish to, use a mild woolite solution (1 to 6) to clean the leather.

yeah id go with a woolite wipe down with a terry towel to get the worst off.
