method of applying interior dressings

I'm interested in knowing what method of application you guys use for interior vinyl and leather dressings to get a nice even coat without streaks or blotchiness in some areas. Do you use a foam pad, sponge, mf, terry towel, etc.? Do you spray the product on the applicator or the area and what do you use to buff it off? How long do you let it sit before buffing it off?

Thanks!

I work the product on the vinyl and not just apply it. Then, I lightly buff it with a microfiber to remove excess product.

I use a MF applicator pad for interior dressing. Usually spray some AA(or whatever dressing your using) right on the pad and wipe. The MF has been giving me the most consistent and even coat on the vinyl, plastic, dash, etc.

I agree 100%

This works best for me as well!

The nice part is the M/F leaves no lint or "fuzzies" on the vinyly, plastics etc.

:yeah

This works well for me also. Working the product in will help prevent any streaking.

What are you using on your vinyl? I prefer PB NL or 1Z CP/TF

I like NL also but perhaps my problem is that I'm not working it in good. As far as the mf's go they seem to absorb more product than they apply.

I like to apply to a mf mitt and then continue to use that mitt for only that purpose...cleaning often isn't needed and you can use very little productthat way too as well as reaching close to the front window without getting it on the window....

use less product and buff more for the best results..

I was using a small sponge, but switched to wax app. pads as the sponge absorbed more product than it released. Spray product on pad, wipe around the whole vehicle, then come back and buff.

For Natural Look, I fold a piece of terry cloth into about a 4" square ... apply the NL to it and rub it into the vinyl. Sometimes it helps to dampen the cloth before applying the NL. I save the towel for the same use again, occasionally rinsing it in plain water.

I use NL. I spray it on a small mf towel and wipe it on every surface in sight...except the windows, and I love it.
