I just found some STP VisionBlade, is this the same as Aquapel?. I heard that this was the same stuff, it says tested and approved by PPG on the package. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Made by PPG, is the same, just that what you are seeing is no longer being marketed by STP. It is left over stock.

There may also be a difference in the applicator system.

If the STP is packaged in a white plastic unit, with two "wings" that you squeeze together to release the product, then it is the newer stock, the last that they got.

If it is the older glass tube you break, wouldn't recommend buying it as the product is aged and may not perform as advertised.

 :bounce

Unless you are buying it for less than $2 or $3 an application, would not advise, as that is the old packaging and the product inside will have experienced solvent loss, resin setting and may not perform to your expectations.

At the price I quoted, no big loss, but if $10 to $15 a tube, well, take your chances.

Be sure and remove any of the polishing/sealant products that you may have applied to the glass.

This is a fluro-carbon resin, not a dimethal, and the glass must be "CLEAN" in order for the resin to attach to the glass. Any oil or waxes present, dirt, etc will affect the attachment.

While you are cleaning the glass, clean the edges of your wiper blades, you might have more build up on them than you are aware off. This can abrade the film of the product you are applying.

Need to know from the people that have actually used these machines?.

Even better if you have worked with both.

Again, please limit discussion to these two machines and 1st hand experience.

Thanks in advance..
