I just got my Makita in the mail today, and it is a fantastic feeling machine, I cant see the Metabo being much better than this one, and for $170 shipped with a cool Makita Bag, it's hard to beat that deal.

Great, thanks! I was looking on ebay and a seller had the same kit for 180 and free ship, also a pad kit for about 35 and free ship. I'm still might go with coastaltool.com if I don't need all the extras. Thank you for your help.

Im new here, when you talk about the makita are you speaking of the variable speed buffer/polisher? or something else?

Yea, the Makita is a high speed circular polisher, along with Hitachi, Dewalt, Metabo. When you hear those, they are talking about high speed.



When you hear PC, or UDM, sometimes Griots DA, or DA in general, they are talking about "Dual Action" machines (orbital polishers)
