Metabo & Dynabrade = Ultimate detailing machine

It has a patten #. However It would be nice to see a company like Edge make a copy of one and offer different size backing plates.

I like my Dynabrade attachment. It cuts and finishes better than *any* other DA type machine that I've tried.

Better than the Flex?

I see that the finish from the rotary is much better than the one from the Flex, PC, etc... I just use the Flex for applying glazes or cleansers.

i just received mine and I want to know if i can replace the plate with a smaller one of my UDM kit (5'' or 6'' or even 3.5'')or if i have to buy something familiar with the one that already attached.the UDM plates are fit but how safe they are??

Also if someone used this before what advises can give ??

I would not use anything smaller than a 6" or possibly a 5.75" with the dynabrade, otherwise you run the risk of severely cutting into your pads.

Also, I wouldn't run the machine at less than 2000 RPM's, otherwise it seems unbalanced. When I had one I always ran it at 3000 RPMs.

This is the MAX RPM of my rotary :D.With DYNABRATE attached ca i use heavier polish/compound than using with my UDM?

i guess i have to use it like my UDM?? Working the polish at low speed and then at top speed moving the machine slowly or not?

I ALWAYS ran it at 3000 rpm, if you are limited to 2000 rpm, use that. You will get the most cut, and the nicest finish while using it at high speed.

i'd probably use 10-20% more polish than you would normally use with a DA, but less than with the rotary.

As far as arm speed, not as fast as a rotary, not as slow as a DA, you have to really judge it for yourself.
