Metabo buffer...

Clean Dean

Keep it clean !!!
Been a Dewalt 849/B&D Buffmaster/Milwaulkee 5460 rotary guy for the past 10 years, and heard some rave reviews about a super light weight Metabo Variable Speed Angle Polisher PE 7175.

Just bought it NIB on ebay for under $150 with shipping, and cannot wait to test her out and give a review.

Looks great, and so lightweight !!!. Any one out there using a Metabo ??? I believe my friend in Texas Anthony Orosco was using one ?

Opinions wanted !!!
Thanks.

I'm pretty sure that Anthony has the PE 7175, which is the predecessor to the PE 12-175. That sure was a pretty good price..... good score on picking that one up!

I really like the PE 12-175 because it is so light and very high quality. It does take some getting use to since it doesn't have a trigger on/off like a conventional rotary. I think the more you use it the more you'll get to like it.

$150 is a steal!!! More than 50% of retail price. I have yet to use a rotary but I have had my eye on one for a while now ... I know one thing, if I see one for under $200 I'd have one :).

Thanks Elliott Ness and budman3,

I bid $150 last minute and won the item at $117.50. I never used the Metabo, but have bid on many of these. I use and ubuse the Dewalt 849 daily, and pull out the Milwaukee on real heavy jobs, so I figure the Metabo will feel like a feather.

I'll post results. Thanks Again !!!

Keep us posted as to what you think...I have been in the hunt for a new rotary for a while...I have a Hitachi that is like lifting a drill press but works super for the amount of times I needed it...getting something lighter would be welcomed especially if it had more than two speeds like the one I have now
