Mercury clear coats

I have a 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis (white) to do later this week. I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with the paint on these cars. Is the CC hard or soft or since it is white, does a CC exist?

the cc is soft. Mercury/ford paint is easily scratched. Imo, when I used a rotary on a 1990 mercury cougar(cc also), it was the only way I could get the defects out. By pc, it just didn't work.

Thanks for the info, I am hoping that the paint isn't too bad, but if there are scratches, i think the plan will be to go at them with #83 via rotary. I may try my first attempt at the klasse twins, but we'll see what the condition of the surface is first.
